Richard obtained his legal degree at Warwick University and completed his training in the city. He then went on to join the firm of Latchams Montague Niblett & Co in 1989.

As a partner, he has overseen the development of the firm from its smaller roots to its position today as a provider of a broad range of commercial and private client legal services, which he is keen to build and develop in his role as Managing Partner.

Richard acts for a number of Commercial Property clients in development and leasing transactions, and also acts for a number of leading financial institutions on financing matters.

Richard is married with 4 children and lives locally. He enjoys spending time with his children following their various sporting activities. He acts as Chairman Trustee of the Bristol Community Family Trust and is company secretary for Crisis Centre Ministries.

Richard and his wife Katharine speak nationally on marriage relationship matters and have published a book called Rules of Engagement for couples getting married, to help them plan the wedding and their futures together.
